Smokeless Zones

The whole of Oxford is now within a Smoke Control Area. This does not automatically prevent you from having a wood-burning stove installed.

Wood may still be used in a DEFRA-exempt appliance, provided that the stove is operated using the approved fuel and instructions for that particular model. If a stove is not exempt, only authorised fuel may be used.
